Insomnia is a condition that prevents people from falling asleep at night time or causes them to wake up during the night and findit difficult to fall back to sleep.
Sleep problems have a detrimental effect in our daily life. It may affect us mentally, physically and socially.
People who suffer from insomnia usually know and they have tried all possible treatments including mindfulness, sleeping pills, alternative and herbal medicine, which may contribute in short term relaxation but they do not cure insomnia.
Insomnia requires deeper work. It is the stage where the brain has accepted sleeplessness as a pattern, as a result of reoccurrence. The treatment helps the brain to forget what is happening now and replaces the sleeplessness with a good quality sleep, the sleep we used to have.
The coaching technique is conducted through open questions will help you raise your awareness about everything that is happening in your life now. It will empower you to think independently about options and actions to be taken by increasing your self-belief through motivational techniques, step outside your comfort zone, and develop positive attitude which will result in obtaining new healthy reality with a good quality sleep.
Alongside coaching I introduce the Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) which is an extra aid to look at the insomnia related behaviours, on what is happening, what causes it, and what needs to change. This technique will increase the sleep drive, work on fixing the body clock which has worked perfectly well in the past, as well as helps reducing and overcoming bedtime anxiety.
